Callidus creates safe working environments for all employees and communities influenced by our work. The breadth of our activities and the inherent risks of engineering challenges us to ensure that no-one is injured as a result of our operations.

We are acutely aware that the quality of our products determines the safety of our client’s operations. An unwavering focus on sound engineering is crucial to everything we do.

Callidus operates in accordance with a comprehensive occupational health and safety system and is accredited to AS/NZS 4801:2001

Our products are processed and supplied in accordance with our Quality Management system. Developed to be compliant with ISO 9001, it has been accredited to ISO 9001:2008 Quality Management standard, or its previous equivalents since 1998.


Callidus places great importance on corporate social responsibility and associated social investment activities within the communities in which we work. Callidus social activities address local needs while encouraging employees to play an active role in their communities. Employees currently support these initiatives and are encouraged to participate through provision of Callidus support both financially and through organisation of activities, designated social coordinators at all locations, opportunities and sponsorships. A recent Achielles audit awarded us 88% for corporate social responsibilty

Activities and donations
Callidus develops an annual schedule of health/corporate social responsibility initiatives that include HSE and Local Content obligations. Activities and donations include but are not limited to;

  • Annual donation to the David Wirrpanda Foundation for remote Australia
  • Annual donation to Australian Indigenous Education Foundation [AIEF] in support of scholarships, mentoring and training programs
  • Annual donation to Indigenous Community volunteer organisation
  • Sponsorship of Madagascar Live In Centre for Disadvantaged Children. Employees are encouraged to sponsor children. Callidus provides food, teacher wages, bikes, school supplies, school maintenance, uniforms and bedding. We have been commended by the Madagascar Prime Minister.
  • Annual sponsorship of South Australian Sports Institute (SASI) cycling program. The SASI program is aimed at identifying and developing riders on the track and road. It’s recognised as one of the most succesful track development programs in the Southern Hemisphere.
  • Cancer Council activities such as Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea, Daffodil Day and Mystery Rally
  • Australian Red Cross fundraiser Big Cake Bake
  • Movember
  • City to Surf participation
  • Supporting the Prostate Cancer Foundation through participation at the Australia Big Aussie BBQ and golf tournaments
  • Asthma Foundation support through participating on the RAC Freeway Bike Hike
  • Salvation Army Christmas Appeal and Operation Christmas Child
